Bad Beginnings

My family was geared up and ready to embark on a great vacation to Hawaii. Definitely not fully rested, we woke up at 4:00 in the morning for our flight leaving out of the San Francisco Airport. Our travel agent was to meet and pick us up at our home at 4:30. She arrived promptly but we knew that our journey to the airport would be no good from the moment she came to our home. Our travel agent picked us up in 1982 blue hooptie with dirty seats and was soon to fall apart. The travel agent explained to us why she had the car she had "My Lexus is in the shop so I had to bring this one." Maybe this one should be in the shop also, or gone. As we begin to the airport everything is going smoothly, but our travel agent is a big chatter box. I could no longer stand her loud voice so I decide to nap until we reach the airport. For the next 30 minutes I am knocked out cold. All of a sudden I am wakened by the rumbling of an engine and the pattering of wheels along the pavement. As I slowly open my eyes I realize we are on the shoulder of the freeway. I survey my surroundings and noticed a sign on the freeway that said Tracy. All I could imagine that we were still more than an hour away and we were going to be late for our flight. We wait patiently for AAA to come, but as always that takes so much time. The travel agent is super antsy, then states how she needs to use the bathroom. The freeway was built at a curve so if she were to use the restroom all oncoming cars would see her hunched over using the restroom. Oddly enough she can no longer hold her bladder so she decides that the curve is not going to stop her from leaking all over herself. There is no hope for us, we will be late. Our last resort is for the travel agent to call her sister. Her sister lived about 45 minutes to an hour away, however she arrived within 30. Her sister came in a small Honda that safely got us to the airport just in time for our flight. Despite the horrible expedition to the airport, the time in Hawaii was unforgettable.
